Deputy Chairman of B&H Council of Ministers and Minister of Fiance and Treasure Nikola Špirić spoke today with the Director of the office of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in B&H Libor Krkoška on the upcoming donor conference and projects that this Bank will support in order to recover from the consequences of floods that occurred in May in B&H.
Krkoška informed Minister Špirić on the decision of EBRD Board to support reconstruction projects worth 500 million euros in the flooded areas of B&H, Serbia and Croatia.
In accordance with the strategy of EBRD, this support in B&H will be directed in the reconstruction projects of road and railway infrastructure, for the small and medium enterprises in the private sector.
Minister Špirić thanked the Director Krkoška on the readiness to support reconstruction projects and for the engagement in the process of repairing damages after the floods that happened in B&H.
Minister Spiric stressed that are ongoing negotiations and assessment of priorities at all levels of government in B&H in order to prepare for donors conference and concrete projects are offered to interested donors.
They also talked about the imminent signing of an amendment to the loan agreement with the EBRD relating to the construction of the highway Banja Luka – Doboj, with which will be solved the problem of VAT refunds, announced the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of B&H.
