The Chairman of the Council of Ministers Denis Zvizdić met yesterday in Sarajevo with the head of the World Bank for Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro Tatiana Proskuryakova on future cooperation and projects of the World Bank in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Chairman Zvizdić said that the focus of the Council of Ministers of B&H is on economy and primarily the improvement of the business environment that would encourage new investments and employment creation.
He added that the Council of Ministers, in cooperation with the entity governments and international partners, is to prepare a set of socio-economic reforms aimed at improving the competitiveness of BH economy and living standards of its citizens.
He pointed out that he expects active assistance and expertise from the World Bank, particularly in supporting governments of the entities where the greatest part of these reforms, which are in connection with the registration and operation of businesses, are to be realized.
Head of the World Bank Proskuryakova informed Chairman Zvizdić about current activities of the World Bank in B&H.
She emphasized that the World Bank is currently conducting an analysis of the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina as a part of preparations for the new strategy approach to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
