Activities on the distribution of medicines to senior residents in Sarajevo began on Tuesday, with 45 of them receiving medication thanks to volunteers of the Red Cross, Klix.ba news portal reports.
The Civil Protection Staff commander Nihada Glamoc explained that the lists of 2,000 persons who, according to the established deadlines, would be prescribed medicines through the Health Insurance Institute through prescribed time limits, would be brought to them at their home address.
Glamoc reminded that after the extension of the curfew from 20:00 to 05:00 o’clock, the Civil Protection Headquarters issued an order to extend working hours in shops and pharmacies until 18:30 o’clock, which does not include on duty pharmacies which will continue their work as in the previous period.
So far, about 2,500 calls have been received and answered through the call centers opened at Headquarters, and about 350 have been directed to the competent medical services. “We will continue to respond to all your inquiries and all utilities teams will continue to carry out their tasks,” Glamoc said. All disinfection and cleaning orders are regularly implemented and are visible on the ground, she said.
