A delegation of the Government of the Republic of Serbia today visited the Municipality of Srebrenica, where they met with municipal authorities and spoke about the degree of implementation in that municipality which are financed by the Serbian government.
The delegation toured the construction sites of a kindergarten, while the state secretary in the Serbian Ministry of Construction, Traffic and Instructure Imre Kern said in a press release that he wasn’t entirely content with the implementation of the project.
“There are major delays in the realization of the projects and we saw that last month when we got the trimonthly reports. We’ve come here to support the realization of these projects. We think that we have to keep track about the spent funds of the Republic of Serbia and we’ve been delegated that by the Ministry,” said Kern.
The mayor of the Municipality of Srebrenica Mladen Grujcic said that the construction of the kindergarten became complicated at the very beginning and that the deadline won’t be met.
He also noted that these projects that are being realized are of major importance for Srebrenica.
“We will do everything we can to fulfill what is being asked of us, while the rest is on the contractors and UNDP,” said Grujcic.
The Government of the Republic of Serbia after an Investment Conference in Srebrenica in 2015 donated five million Euros, of which two million was support to the municipal budget while three million was for projects that are significant for the revitalization of public objects and infrastructure in Srebrenica, among which are the construction of the kindergarten and the reconstruction of a path.
