The construction of the highway from Doboj to Prnjavor is intensifying with more favorable weather conditions, and contractors will soon hire 350 more workers.
The General Director of “Integral Inženjeringa” (Integral Engineering) from Laktaši Slobodan Stanković, who is constructing the highway with the Macedonian “Granit”, said for “Glas Srpske” that work in January and February slowed down due to unfavorable weather conditions. Currently, construction of the highway is going to plan.
“The slowing down of work in the last two months will not affect the construction deadline. Currently we are embarking on the sixth kilometer of the highway from Doboj to Prnjavor. Along with this we are working on field-testing and construction of the highway project’’, said Stanković.
“Lost time will be compensated. Until now, 150 people were employed, and until next month that number will reach 500 people’’, said Stanković.
The Director of “Autoputeva RS” Dušan Topić said that they could not employ additional people during the winter period due to bad weather conditions.
“Contractors need to hire new people in order to intensify the works and compensate for lost time due to bad weather conditions’’, said Topić.
Work on the 36-kilometer long highway began in Fall 2012, and the contractor is a consortium made of up “”Integral Inženjering” and “Granit”.
