Bosnia and Herzegovina won the first gold medal at Special Olympics in Antwerp. The BH athlete Irmela Peranović won the first place for 25 m freestyle.
Apart from Irmela Peranović, Miro Vasić was also in the finals, who won fourth place in 25 m freestyle.
”Irma Peranović swam great. After preliminary race I secretly hoped she would win one of the medals, which came true. She was so happy at the medal awards ceremony and that is what these athletes truly deserve”, said coach of the swimming national team of the Special Olympics of BiH Samir Halilović.
