Historical Museum of BiH is planning to expand, redesign and improve the permanent exhibition “Sarajevo under the Siege”, which was first presented to the public in 2003, and talks about creativity and resourcefulness of citizens of Sarajevo during the longest siege in modern history.
War improvised stoves and lamps, homemade soaps, handmade Thermos bottles, photos, documents, letters, and diaries that form the collection “Sarajevo under the Siege”.
From the Museum are inviting citizens to be part of Sarajevo war stories and help enrich the exhibitions and collections by giving objects that they used during the siege.
Together with items, they want to hear the stories and preserve them from oblivion.
