Sarajevo police have blocked Tito’s street from which participants of the first Pride Parade in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) will walk today, while the regime of movement in the surrounding streets has also been changed.
Security in the city has been raised to the highest level since the early hours of the morning. Special teams for explosives detection are conducting inspection of the entire area to provide a route that will take about 500 parade participants today from 12 o’clock starting from the Eternal Fire towards the State Parliament building, News Agency Patria reports.
Several Non-Governmental Organization groups organized counter-rallies on Saturday, highlighting the importance of preserving the traditional family.
The first pride parade has attracted much media attention in the region and organizers called for fair reporting.
