On the fourteenth day in the shortest month of the year, Sarajevo will also be full of signs of love! Valentine’s Day is dedicated to the expression of love to one’s beloved and, with every passing year, it continues to gain in popularity here in the city on the Miljacka. We’ve searched for where and how one might spend this holiday of love in town.
If you prefer a romantic and quiet way of celebrating, then we recommend that you and your dear one visit the restaurant, Kod Kibeta, which offers an idyllic panoramic view of the city dotted with countless lights.
Everyone wants to make this romantic holiday even sweeter, so we suggest a visit to Ramis Café-Sweet Shop at “Sweet Corner” or the nearby Rahatlook, where you can sweeten up your love with some traditional Bosnian sweets.
If you want to feel the energetic pulse of the city on this special night, there are some Sarajevo clubs that will be offering a rich program. Feel the love of rock at Freaky’s Pub, where DJ Dado Junior will be playing some classic ex-Yugoslavian rock hits. Pro Rock Club Johnny is preparing its traditional Saturday night fever and Yu Caffe is bringing the young and prospective duo, Sara & Riad, who will provide great fun late into the night.
If you like great parties more than live music, then Hacienda and Mash Club are the places for you.
Jazz fans won’t be short-handed either, as Monument Club is preparing a special evening with standard jazz and blues with a concert by the popular band, Sunday Stories.
Aquarius Vils Club also has a special program lined up for this night. Those who visit this exceptionally popular gathering place on February 14 can look forward to a performance by Benjamin Milić and Tony Pesikan Bongo.
“The Night of the Enamored” in Sarajevo will be marked by two great concerts. In the Bosnian Cultural Center, the legendary Croatian chanson artist, Arsen Dedić, will be accompanied by Matija Dedić, one of the best jazz pianists in the region. You can spend Valentine’s Day at Coloseum Club along with a concert by the Serbian pop diva, Aleksandra Radović.
In closing, don’t forget that Valentine’s Day is a day for giving gifts. If you’re looking for a small present that is sure to delight your loved one, we recommend that you stop by BH Crafts and RuKom.
We wish you a Happy Valentine’s Day!
