Ambassador of France in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Claire Bodonyi, last night hosted in Sarajevo the promotion of French gastronomy within the manifestation “Taste of France“.
Within that manifestation, 1.500 dinners in restaurants and embassies of France in 150 countries was held yesterday.
Ambassador Bodonyi said that Nemanja Nanadic, chef of the hotel Kardial Banja Vrucica, has been selected, based on the qualitative French menu that he prepared.
She emphasized that it was not an issue to prepare chosen meals because they were lucky to be able to find required products in French shop and French bakery in Sarajevo, as well as that they generally encounter qualitative and healthy products in BiH.
Nenadic said that it was great honor for him to be a part of this project, and explained that French dishes are quite demanding to prepare.
The initiative for holding the manifestation “Taste of France“ came from the famous French chef Alain Ducasse, and was supported by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of France, Laurent Fabius.
The aim of the event is to pay tribute to a vibrant, opened and innovative cuisine that remains faithful to its values- unity, generosity, helathy nutrition and respect for environment.
