Leaders of Party of Democratic Action (SDA), Croat Democratic Union (HDZ) BiH and Democratic Front (DF) did not reach an agreement on formation of new Government of FBiH at tonight’s meeting.
Talks will continue on Sunday, when, according to the President of HDZ Dragan Čović, they will be able to tell the public if they managed to agree or not.
President of DF Željko Komšić stated he does not wish to talk about what was disputed at today’s meeting “because we do not need to make things any more difficult”.
Leaders of the parties stated they did not only discuss allocation of the ministerial positions in the future government but they also discussed number of ministries that should belong to each party.
Deputy President of SDA Bakir Izetbegović said that his party was ready to cede one ministry, to take seven instead of eight positions, whereas leader of HDZ Čović reiterated that his party still requests six ministries.
Today’s meeting was also attended by representatives of the Croat People’s Assembly (HNS).
