Families of fallen miners from the mine “Raspotocje“, Hajrudin Bradarac, Mehmed Dizdarevic, Mehmedalija Halilovic, Fahir Halac and Fejzo Isakovic, have been awarded with the financial help of 16.479 BAM per family today on the session of the Presidency of the Individual Union of Miners FBiH (IUMFBiH) in Sarajevo.
The action of the collecting the financial support to the families of fallen miners in the pit “Raspotocje“ on 4th September last year was initiated by the IUMFBiH, and was supported by the miners from the following mines: Mine “Kreka“, Coal Mine “Kakanj“, Coal Mine “Breza“, Coal mine “Zenica“, Coal mine “Abid Lolic“ and the mine “Gracanica“.
As the president of the IUMFBiH Sinan Husic said, they expect the method of wide excavation which is much secure in “Raspotocje“.
“Implementation of the plan of making a new excavation field and provided funding for the modernization of that object are clear. The fund provided for the purchase of the wide forehead for “Raspotocje“ are around 19.5 million BAM. It is necessary to prepare the excavation field for the introduction of the wide forehead. Miners know very well what it means and certainly 10 to 11 months of demanding job is ahead of them“, added Husic.
The director of the Coal Mine Zenica, Esad Civic said that after the accident, they started the stabilization with the help from the Concern of EPBiH. He added that they have a held a series of meetings with the families of fallen miners, and that they have correctly fulfilled their obligations arising from the law in such situations. Also he added they have additionally hired some of the family members because they felt a moral obligation to help.
Mirzeta Bradarac, wife of the fallen miner Hajrudin Bradarac, expressed her gratitude to the branch Union and to all miners that separated money in the name of all families.
Five miners have died at the beginning of September last year in the accident in the pit “Raspotocje“ of the Mine “Zenica“ after the mountain collapsed.
