In Prijedor next week, construction should begin on plants for the production of solar panels worth 3,2 million KM.
The contract of the sale of land, where the new plants will be built, was signed by the Mayor of Prijedor Marko Pavić and Jovica Katić, the co-owner of the Banja Luka company “Premium” that is an investor in this project.
Pavić said that this is one of the results of a long-term mission of the local government in Prijedor that with the attraction of foreign and local investments creates a secure foundation for jobs.
“We support this job because it is for the future that will bring this area to the fore. The RS already has legislation in the areas of alternative energy sources such as the sun, wind and biomass, but its already changing’’, said Pavić.
The Director of “Premium” Jovica Katić said that the co-owner, who is a public figure in Germany, the realization of this idea started four years ago and that the appropriate conditions exist in Prijedor.
“For four to four and a half months the production hall should be completed, and the first production should start for eight months. In the beginning we plan to employ 15-18 people, and in full production there would be 39. We would have 80 percent exports’’, said Jovica Katić.
“Premium bought from the city of Prijedor land in the industrial zone Celpak contains a plot of 3.000-10.000 square meters. Upon fulfillment of local capacity, new industrial zones will be available to investors near Janjić pump.
