The Association “Heart of Cazin” and several donors, prepared Eid gifts for 20 children in the Center for Children without Parental Care “Duga” in Kulen Vakuf. Every gift was individually prepared for every child.
The Center for Children without Parental Care “Duga” in Kulen Vakuf started working in Bihac back in 1999, thanks to a group of people gathered at H.O. Schutzengel Gesucht from Germany. A total of 292 children went through this center and it represents the only institution of this type in the entire Una-Sana Canton.
The main goal of “Duga” is to provide care for children of up to six years of age, who temporarily or permanently lost parental care as well as to help and support children in their development.
Different festive activities took place in the center during the last couple of days, and numerous organizations, associations and individuals decided to prepare Eid gifts for children in “Duga” center.
All the children received special gifts in accordance with their age, and older children received their new Eid clothes.
“We are choosing their Eid clothes for the 12thconsecutive year. We are very happy to do this and to see the joy on the faces of our children, because they know that all gifts are prepared specially for them. We realized this year’s activity with our partners, i.e. association ‘For life’ from Austria, which donated toys, tractors and swimming pools for children, and Majlis of the Islamic Community in Cazin, which prepared packages with Eid candies. There are also several other companies, as well as individuals, who took part in this activity with their own donations. Therefore, a smaller convoy arrived in our center from Cazin this year,” said Adis Muhamedagic, the representative of the association “Heart of Cazin”.
From this institution noted that children are always very happy to receive their Eid gifts, as well as gifts on the occasion of other holidays, since different humanitarian organizations, legal entities, artists, groups and donors, as well as ordinary citizens, want to make children happy in these days.
