On the occasion of celebrating 130 years of business, Solana Tuzla officially put into operation a new transport system with associated 5.5 meters high bridge-tunnel, which is transporting the finished product from the packaging facility to the newly built salt warehouse, approximately 300 meters long distance.
Solana Ltd. Tuzla is employing more than 400 employees today, and exports more than 80 % of their products in the countries in the region and the EU market.
Official ceremony of celebrating 130 years of work was organized today in the Bosnian Cultural Center (BKC) Tuzla.
“Dear all, it is my pleasure to welcome you all on the occasion of our great jubilee – 130 years of continuous tradition of industrial salt production by putting into operation our new transport system,” said Izudin Kapetanovic, the director of Solana Ltd. Tuzla, adding that the new system is connecting all of the machines for packaging, with the capacity of 500 tons per day, ensuring system that is more functional and economical as well as environmentally cleaner facility.
Prime Minister of Tuzla Canton (TC) Bego Gutic said that Solana Ltd. Tuzla is a recipe for a successful business, adding that others should use it too.
“There are very few companies that can praised with such a long tradition of successful business,” said Gutic, recalling that Solana Ltd. had the similar problems that some companies on the territory of TC also have, but according to him, by changing work and business policy Solana Ltd. Tuzla is now one of the most successful economic collectives on the territory of TC.
