The President of the RS Milorad Dodik and Deputy Secretary General of the United Russia Sergey Zeleznjak agreed that it is necessary to abolish the OHR in BiH and only respect the original Dayton Peace Agreement, on the meeting that was held in Moscow.
“We simply articulated a common stand on the need to abolish the OHR. The position of Russia is that we need to implement the Dayton Peace Agreement in its original form and that anything that might cause political destabilization in BiH should be avoided,” said Dodik after meeting with Zeleznjak, who is a member of the State Duma Committee for international affairs.
The President of the RS noted that the project of Oil and petroleum refineries and distribution network, which has been developed by the company “Zarubezhneft” in the RS for years, will be continued and that the story on ending the cooperation was just a speculation.
During his visit to Russia, Dodik talked with businessmen and representatives of banks on the possibilities of cooperation and concluded that the visit to Russia was very successful.
Dodik ended his visit to Russia with a work meeting with representatives of financial institutions and funds, with which he will consider ways to get the approval to Russian resources for the RS.
United Russia has a majority of 70 % in the Parliament and it is in the inter-party relationship with the SNSD.
Dodik also talked with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergei Lavrov, who noted that solutions of the West resolved some problems in BiH, and confirmed that Russia will continue to demonstrate a commitment to international law and support activities for the preservation of the Dayton structure of BiH.
The President of the RS gave a lecture at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations during his visit as well.
