Chairman of the Council of Ministers of B&H, Denis Zvizdic hosted yesterday a delegation of UNESCO led by the General Director, Irina Bokova.
Zvizdic thanked for all this organization done for B&H. Especially in a period of last year’s floods when many monuments were threatened by a natural disaster.
They talked about the development of a cultural heritage and concluded that it is important to integrate the heritage in everyday life in order for cultural heritage to be in coexistence with the people as a part of a total cultural tradition.
Chairman Zvizdic expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation with the Office of UNESCO in B&H and emphasized the importance of their work on projects significant for B&H.
He said that it is very important for tombstones to be placed at the UNESCO list in the forthcoming period in order for them to be protected and to preserve the common history of nations that are living on these areas for centuries.
They agreed that the compound of a cultural and historical heritage and the economy and tourism is extremely important.
They also talked about the National Museum and agreed that this significant cultural institution is needed to be opened for citizens as soon as possible.
A meeting was attended by the Ambassador of B&H at the UNESCO, Ivan Orlic, as announced from the Council of Ministers.
