“The text of declaration, by which Serbia condemned the crime in Srebrenica, is complied with BiH and Turkey, and the story that Serbia does not want to declare that it is a genocide represent just political cynicism,” said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Ivica Dacic.
Dacic stated that expressions that are defending the dignity of everyone are carefully used in the declaration.
“After all, Turkey is very sensitive to the use of the word genocide. Do you think that Serbia is not under the pressure to adopt a declaration on Turkey and Armenians? Why is everyone silent about that,” said Dacic and invited former Serbian President Boris Tadic and the Presidency of BiH to explain whether an agreement was reached and what they know about it.
Dacic asked the organizers of the memorial gathering in Potocari how they did not mind Tadic to attend the marking of the 11th of July before, and now they mind the representatives of Serbia to come.
“Tadic came after this declaration. Why Serbian statesmen are problem now? Has anything changed in the text of the declaration,” said Dacic.
The Foreign Minister said that Serbia is proud to be the only one, according to him, that had the courage to condemn the crimes against other nations, and that BiH nor Croatia have not done it yet.
“These are political games. We want good neighborly relations, to be a factor of peace, reconciliation and stability, but no one will humiliate Serbia,” concluded Dacic, as reported by Tanjug.
