“The feast of St. Anthony of Padua” was celebrated in Gradacac with a festive procession and a Holy Mass that was concelebrated by several priests, led by the Reverend Tomislav Curic who is the pastor in the parish of St. Aloysius Stepinac from Slavonski Brod.
In his inspired sermon, Reverend Curic spoke about St. Anthony of Padua, who is particularly appreciated and has a special place in the religious life of Catholics of BiH and Croatia.
Reverend Curic called on all the faithful to return to the original principles of faith and its everyday practice.
Pastor of the parish of St. Mark the Evangelist in Gradacac, Reverend Marko Hrskanovic, thanked all the faithful, especially those from other parishes who came in Gradacac to mark the Feast of Days of St. Anthony.
He added that next year this parish will celebrate the 150 years since its establishment and 130 years since the construction of their church.
A common lunch with a rich cultural and entertainment program was held after the Holy Mass, which was adorned by the choir Gradacac, the cultural association “Zmaj od Bosne” Gradacac and Croatian cultural association “Sveti Ilija” from Doknja near Tuzla.
