The 12th edition of the leading annual event in the field of architecture in Bosnia and Herzegovina includes various events aimed to enable discussion of common cultural heritage, connections, traditions and values. Initiated by students in 2008, the festival has grown over the years, receiving international recognition and helping to place Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina on the international architectural map.
Nedim Mutevelić and Jasmin Sirčo, festival organizers and architectural enthusiasts, underlined that they managed to progress due to support of local and, even more importantly, international partners, who have recognized the importance of open and engaging discussion on the impact of architecture on everyday lives and the promotion of positive ideas that improve the quality of life.
As part of Days of Architecture, in cooperation with the Goethe Institute in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the EU Info Centre organised a workshop, “Rethinking Paradigms”, which gathered students and professionals from seven countries, winners of the competition Bauhaus 100, to discuss the challenges of smart urban planning and social sustainability, coordinated by architects from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia and Norway.
