The RS Minister for Economic Relations and Regional Cooperation Željka Cvijanović and the head of the BiH Mission to the EU in Brussels Igor Davidović spoke today in Banja Luka on the process of EU integration, with a special emphasis on the “Sejdić – Finci” ruling and defining the mechanisms of coordination in the process of EU integration in BiH. They spoke about the current political and economic situation in BiH.
Before the meeting, they attended the first part of the fifth temporary subcommittee for trade, industry, customs, taxation, and cooperation with other candidate countries, which is now organized by the Ministry for Economic Relations and Regional Cooperation of the RS and the Directorate for European Integration of BiH at the Administrative Center of the RS government in Banja Luka.
Representatives of the relevant BiH institutions and the European Commission attended the work of the fifth meeting of the temporary committee for trade, industry, customs, taxation and cooperation with other candidate countries.
At the meeting they discussed issues of implementation of the interim, or the Stabilization and Association Agreement, with a particular emphasis on the liberalization of trade within individual product categories, fiscal and customs areas, the process of accession to the World Trade Organization and exchange of statistical data.
