[wzslider autoplay=”true”] Several thousand citizens of Sarajevo attended the gathering with Rudolph van Veen, a Dutch culinary master and television presenter, today in front of the Sarajevo cathedral.
He was welcomed with thunderous applause. “Dobar dan, Bosnia, dobar dan Sarajevo,” said Dutch chef in broken Bosnian.
He added that it is wonderful to be in BiH for the first time and that he heard a lot about BH cuisine from his colleagues. He mentioned Emina Zorlak who is working with him for 24Kitchen.
Children gave him their drawings, and he said that he loves that more than expensive gifts and that he will hang them in his shop. He received a gift from the Municipality of Stari Grad, a traditional Bosnian coffee pot and cups for coffee.
After exchanging greetings and gifts followed the most interesting part, cooking with three visitors from the audience. They prepared tulips made of marzipan and brownies in small pots.
Rudolph also prepared sweets with team of “Mrvica” bakery, which will stay in a permanent offer of this cafe-bakery that today opened its doors at Jeliceva Street.
“I think that “Mrvica” brings an eclectic mix of international and local sweets to people in Sarajevo. This bakery is a real example of how you can realize your dreams through dedication without compromise. Sweet dreams can come true,” he said earlier.
