The minister of foreign affairs for Bosnia and Herzegovina and the chairman of the committee of ministers of the Council of Europe, Igor Crnadak, and the secretary general of the Council of Europe, Thorbjørn Jagland, presented an Action Plan today in Sarajevo for the Council of Europe for B&H 2015-2017.
The focus of addressing Minister Crnadak, apart from the Action Plan, was the six-month presidency status of Bosnia and Herzegovina – in the Committee of Ministers for the Council of Europe – which our country received on the 19th of May, 2015 at the 125th meeting of the Committee of VE Ministers in Brussels.
The Action Plan is a strategic and sectoral programming tool that allows an inclusive and coherent approach to cooperation of VE and B&H.
The aim of the Action Plan is: to support Bosnia and Herzegovina in fulfilling remaining post-accession legislation policies and specific commitments as a member state of the Council of Europe, and to help the laws, institutions, and practices of Bosnia and Herzegovina further comply with European standards regarding human rights, the rule of law, and democracy, as announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of B&H.
