Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdic and the Minister of Finance and Treasury of BiH Vjekoslav Bevanda concluded that BH authorities have completed and the implemented all previous issues that have been a prerequisite for the first tranche of the IMF in Washington with senior officials of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) .
During their visit to Washington, BH officials attended a series of meetings with senior officials of the IMF and the World Bank and the main topic was the economic situation in BiH and the projects that are implemented in BiH with the help of these international institutions.
At the meetings was noted that by the end of the year will be implemented the remaining commitments that are aimed at further improvement of the business environment and the harmonization of legislation, as well as further reforms in various sectors, as announced from the Council of Ministers of BiH.
Chairman Zvizdic stated that the Council of Ministers of BiH is intensively working on creating an environment that will attract foreign investors and improve the competitiveness of BiH. He also thanked for the considerable technical and the professional assistance that was provided by the IMF and the World Bank.
He said that BiH will strive for the strict implementation of agreed commitments and emphasized that the implementation of agreed reforms also means strengthening of many sectors, a better legislative framework and legal and economic security for both domestic and foreign investors.
They also discussed the reform of the banking sector, which will be realized on the highest standards basis, the development of small and medium enterprises, the health sector and energy efficiency projects.
