The Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Denis Zvizdic, opened the International Fair of Economy, Agriculture, Food and Tourism “Days of Cherry 2018” in Vrapcici near Mostar.
At the opening ceremony of the event, Chairman Zvizdic noted that the fair got a regional and international character and that it managed to achieve the key goal with the quality of the content, which is the promotion of BH economy. He also added that we should all work with the aim to strengthen the competitiveness of BH economy, improve the business environment in BiH, create a legislative framework for strengthening and creating new investment opportunities for domestic and foreign investors with the aim of the increase of foreign trade and exports, as crucial indicators for economic development of our country.
We are doing all of this within the very simple but successful formula that we must comply with, which is “to produce domestic, to purchase and buy domestic products and, most importantly, to export domestic products”.
Zvizdic also noted the importance of implementation of reforms in BiH and he added that all economic parameters in BiH are recording an increase, as well as that BiH is the best in the region by many parameters. Moreover, he said that the increase of industrial production, growth of exports and amount of foreign trade is present, which shows quality of BH products. He stated that the processes are going in the positive direction and there is a lot of space for the improvement of the situation in BiH.
Talking about the required preconditions for the development of BiH, Chairman Zvizdic said that a main condition for BiH to be included in the strategy project of the EU are constant reforms, the improvement of business environment, constant work on creating good preconditions for the development of BiH, and in the first place are justice, transparency and strengthening the rule of law. He also added that it will be possible for BiH to become a member or to be closer to the EU accession in the year of 2025, which represents a key goal not only for us but for future generations as well.
He congratulated the organizers and exhibitors of the fair and he stated that entrepreneurs are the carriers of economic change, future and self-sustainable development of BiH. The fair was also attended by the Mayor of Mostar, Ljubo Beslic.
