BiH Presidency Chairman Bakir Izetbegović and Head of the EU Delegation to BiH Lars Gunnar Wigemark at today’s meeting exchanged views on the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the processes that will follow after the General Elections have been held in the country.
Izetbegović pointed out that after the elections, everyone needs to be dedicated to the faster implementation of election results and the formation of high-quality governments at all levels, in order to stabilize the situation in the country and allow for accelerated development, stated the BiH Presidency.
He emphasized the need for the formation of broad program-based coalition from the political parties that won the majority votes that would be devoted to the implementation of reforms and accelerated progress of BiH towards the EU and NATO.
He stressed that the focus of the new government should be reforms that lead to stabilization and improvement of the overall situation in BiH, fight against corruption, economic development, construction of infrastructure and defining a special program for youth in order to give them incentive not to leave the country.
