The ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) to Macedonia Lepa Babic met with the Macedonian minister of economy Kresnik Bektesi in Skopje.
They agreed that the bilateral cooperation between the two countries has been advanced by a series of meetings between top officials, on a bilateral and regional basis, which opens the way for further improvement of bilateral economic relations.
Metal, wood, food and textile industries were identified as areas with the greatest potential for cooperation, and opportunities for concrete projects in the mentioned economic sectors were also discussed. The importance of better transport links, as well as the further extension of the existing legal framework for economic cooperation, was especially emphasized.
Ambassador Babic noted that in April 2017 the Business Forum of BiH was held in Skopje in Macedonia and emphasized the importance of organizing new meetings of businessmen of the two countries, as well as the the establishment of a Business Club BiH – Macedonia, which was initiated at the Business Forum in Skopje.
Minister Bektesi agreed and suggested that the Business Forum BiH – Macedonia be held in March next year in Sarajevo and that concrete activities on the establishment of the Business Club be undertaken, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH.
