On the occasion of the 25th of November, the Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) today in Brusa bezistan, an exhibition ‘Kubura’ was set up, made from the rich fundrais of the Sarajevo Museum.
Curator of Sarajevo Museum Moamer Sehovic told to Fena that this exhibition was set up in co-operation with the Historical Archive of Sarajevo, and contains various types of holsters that were created in Balkan workshops (from Istanbul to Venice) and were in use from XV to XIX century.
“These are the works of the masters who, in a special way, have given the seal to that weapon. That is why it is possible to see different types of firearms that are decorated specifically, “ he said.
Author is Adnan Muftarevic, and the exhibition will be set for ten days in Brusa bezistan.
The most expensive and best quality holsters are those made of silver, richly decorated, and are worn in color and at festivals. In the collection of the Sarajevo Museum, every subject, besides its historical, has a great artistic value.
