The Eastern European anti-doping organization EE RADO, unanimously elected Amir Avdagić as the president of this organization which gathers countries of Eastern Europe and the Western Balkans.
In the process of nomination, apart from the support of member states, candidates had to show support of the Olympic Committees and the governments of the Member States.
Avdagic will lead key anti-doping processes and develop anti-doping systems in member states, but will also closely cooperate with the highest antidoping authorities such as World Anti-Doping Agency WADA, UNESCO and Council of Europe.
“The fact that I have been unanimously elected to this function is enough to say that work, aspiration, commitment, quality and professionalism are recognized and I consider this to be a great recognition for Bosnia and Herzegovina and for Anti-Doping Agency for Border Control. We have to all work together to do sports without doping and violence in sports events,” said Avdagic.
