Marija Pejcinović-Buric is the new minister of foreign affairs and European affairs of the Republic of Croatia.
She was born in 1963 in Mostar, in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). She graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb in 1985 and eight years after she graduated the European studies at the faculties in Bruges and Warsaw.
Active in French, English and Spanish, and passively German. Prior to the nomination for the chief of Croatian diplomacy she was the state secretary for the European affairs.
At the end of the HDZ (party) mandate in the government led by Jadranka Kosor, Ms. Pejcinovi-Buric was supposed to become an ambassador in Paris, but it did not happen because of the change in government. She returned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2016 when Davor Ivo Stier took over.
