Bosnia and Herzegovina’s (BiH’s) women senior volleyball team won in the European Championship qualifiers in the Latvian town of Jelgava. In group F. Bosnians won host selection with a score of 3: 0, in sets (25:22, 25:14, 25:19).
In the same group, the selection of Romania as host was defeated by Spain 2: 3 (25:22, 16:25, 23:25, 25:21, 13:15)
Currently, Spain is the first on the table with 11 points (12: 6), the second is Romania with 11 points (13: 6), while BiH is third with a score of 8 points (10: 8).
Placement in the final round of the European Championship in 2019 will be secured for the first and second-placed teams from the group.
In the last game of qualifications, the BiH national team will welcome Romania on January 9 in Lukavac. BiH team won Romania in August with the result of 3: 2.
If BiH team win with 3:0 or 3:1, the volleyball team of BiH will enter in the direct placement at the European Championship which will be held this year in four countries: Turkey, Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic, Klix.ba news portal reports.
