The National football team of BiH has no selector at the moment, but four selectors originating from BiH will take part on World Cup in Russia. Vahid Halilhodzic, Zlatko Dalic, Vladimir Petkovic and Mladen Krstajic will lead four national teams at the biggest football competition that will take place in Russia.
Vahid Halilhodzic was born on May 12, 1952, in Jablanica, and he will lead the National team of Japan in Russia. This will be his second participation in World Cup, after he led Algeria until the eighth finals on the World Cup in 2014.
The team of Japan will play in Group H with Poland, Senegal and Colombia.
Selector of Croatia, Zlatko Dalic, was born on October 26, 1966, in Livno. He started his career there as well. He built his professional career as a player, as well as as a coach, in Croatia, and he became selector before the decisive match against Ukraine.
The team of Croatia will play in Group D with Argentina, Iceland and Nigeria.
Vladimir Petkovic was born on August 15, 1963, in Sarajevo. He will lead the National team of Switzerland. Petkovic built his coaching career by training several Swiss clubs including Bellinzone, Lugana, Siona and Young Boys, and he worked as the coach of Lazio for two years.
The team of Switzerland will be in Group E and they will play against Brazil, Costa Rica and Serbia.
Mladen Krstajic was born on March 4, 1974, in Zenica, and he is selector of the National team of Serbia.
Therefore, BiH will have four selectors on the World Cup, and the only country with more selectors will be Argentina with a total of five selectors. These are Héctor Cúper (Egypt), Jorge Sampaoli (Argentina), José Pékerman (Colombia), Ricardo Gareca (Peru) and Juan Antonio Pizzi (Saudi Arabia).
