The High Representative to BiH Valentin Inzko said yesterday in Prague that BiH has a clear agenda to join the EU and NATO, but due to political blockades it is progressing slower than most citizens want.
Speaking at the international conference that marked 20 years of Czech and Slovak diplomatic relations, he said that after a long period in which the characteristics of diplomatic relations in the Western Balkans were marked by distrust, a new and constructive diplomacy began 3-4 years ago.
“The common currency is joining the EU and there are important ties in the sphere of culture, language and economy. Prague and Bratislava have shown that such connections can be productively used, without jeopardizing the integrity of the new state. We are now beginning to see that in the Western Balkans’’, underlined Inzko.
