The BiH Parliament Delegation, which consists of delegates Ismeta Dervoz and delegates in the House of Representatives Anto Domazet and Šemsudin Mehmedović and the delegate in the House of Peoples Martin Raguž will participate in a seminar “Energy Policy of EU and its Impact on Pre-Accession” that will be held on 22 February in Brussels.
As announced, they will discuss the preparations for EU membership and the necessary steps needed for candidate and pre-candidate countries with the goal of reform in the energy sector, role of the European Economic and Social Committee in energy policy of the EU, as well as the environmental aspects of EU energy policy.
They will also exchange views on the topic: “Safe, sustainable and competitive energy supply: cooperation with partners outside EU borders-role and position of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy of the European Parliament”, “Road Map for Low-Carbon Energy Policy until 2050”, and “Energy Infrastructure Priorities”.
It is anticipated that the participants of the seminar will take part in a public debate entitled “Strategy of the Energy Community: Political, Environmental and Economic Challenges in South-East Europe”. Also, members of the parliament of pre-accession EU countries and members of the European parliament will participate in the seminar.
