The B&H Olympic Committee (OC) organized today an official escort on the occasion of the departure of B&H representatives to Sochi.
The President of B&H OC Siniša Kisić wished the B&H Olympic athletes good luck, emphasizing that he is sure that they will give their best to represent themselves and B&H in this competition.
Member of the Presidency of the B&H OC Izet Rađo stressed that the Committee has done everything to provide to these athletes quality preparations.
“Through projects, B&H OC has invested 291.000 BAM for the preparations. I want to say that B&H OC does not fund top sports in B&H and that is a duty of the government”, said Rađo.
Laikert will be the first from the B&H team to compete in Sochi on 9 February in the downhill. Also, he will compete on 14 February, 16 February, 19 and 22 February in other alpine sport categories.
Žana Novaković will compete on 18 February in the super giant slalom and in the slalom on 21 February, and Marko Rudić will take part in the super giant slalom on 19 February and in the slalom on 22 February.
Tanja Karišik will compete in cross-country skiing in two disciplines (free sprint on 11 February and the 10 km classic on 13 February), and in the biathlon (sprint of 7,5 km on 9 February and 15 km individual on 14 February.
Mladen Plakalović will compete on 11 February in cross-country skiing sprint freestyle and on 23 February in the group start to free style skiing.
The B&H Delegation will travel to Sochi on 4 February.
