Four types of wine from BiH, “Vranac” and “Hum Cabernet Sauvignon” from the monastery Tvrdos from Trebinje, and “Blatina” and “Zilavka” from the basement Nuic from Ljubuski, were presented and sold at the 89th World Wine Fair in Tokyo, which was held from the 6th to 12th April.
More than 900 wines from around the world were presented and sold in the center Daimaru, which is in the category of Harrods centers in London.
The Agency for Foreign Investment Promotion of BiH (FIPA) noted that Japanese consumers were satisfied with the high quality of BiH wines and they enjoyed tasting Vranac and Blatina.
Representative of FIPA in Japan, Shigehiko Nishihama, participated in the mentioned fair, in which he directly represented wines from BiH to Japanese consumers.
They added that BiH started exporting wine to Japan since January 2014, mostly thanks to Nishihama who made great efforts to realize the exports.
Japanese company M & P Corporation from Tokyo decided to import 9 types of wine from BiH (6 black and 3 white wines) from two wineries: Vineyard Nuic and Wine Monastery Tvrdos, as announced from the FIPA.
