The National football team of BiH in the second league match of the League of Nations won against Austria with the score 1: 0 and Edin Dzeko scored the only goal in the 78th minute of the match.
About 10,000 fans followed the match at the Bilino Polje Stadium in Zenica. Unlike the match in Northern Ireland, our players were very active in the first half, the ball was almost always in their possession and they were very good in controlling the possession of the ball. Haris Duljevic recorded great dribbling with the ball in the first 10 minutes, which earned the applause of the audience at Bilino Polje.
Dzeko and Visca played a great combination in the 20th minute and the referee gave the first yellow card to Hinteregger. In the next attack, Zulj shot over Sehic’s goal stands.
The second half of the first half of the match was better for BiH, but Dzeko missed after another center shot.
The beginning of the second half of the match brought a very bad game in the first ten minutes as well as a lot of mistakes on both sides, and Haris Duljevic had his chance in the 55th minute of the match when he made a really nice shot but Austrian defense managed to block his shot.
Austria had another great opportunity in the 66th minute when Lazaro shot from the distance of 20 meters and missed, and Alaba missed as well just two minutes later.
Tempo of the game was a bit slower and it seemed that the match might end without any goals scored, but then the team of BiH came to the lead in the 78th minute. Saric sent a nice ball to Dzeko and our captain, the best scorer in history and the player with the highest number of appearances for the team of BiH, showed once again why he is one of the best scorers in the world and hit for 1: 0. His shot brought total euphoria at Bilino Polje Stadium.
