The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is the second most important foreign trade partner of BiH from the Gulf countries. The delegation of UAE is staying these days in BiH with the aim of expanding business cooperation and discussion about investments that Arab businessmen are willing to bring to our country.
According to the President of the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH Bruno Bojic, BiH achieves 42 % of trade in the region with the UAE. So far, we mostly exported wood and scents, and we mostly imported aluminum and coffee.
“This does not entirely represent the potential of both countries. A delegation of the UAE will visit economy subjects in Sarajevo and Banja Luka and talk with businessmen with the aim of improving cooperation and ambiance for investment and registration of assets during the purchase. The United Arab Emirates are ready to accept our food, and we will work on the details regarding the certification and conditions. This is a great opportunity to find out more about the tourism potential and natural resources of BiH,” said Bojic.
Head of Delegation of the Chamber of Commerce of UAE Said bin Nasser Al Talai emphasized that BiH and the UAE should stick together and that he hopes that a large number of businessmen will visit our country. Member of the Chamber of Commerce and the Council of Business Women Fatma al-Mualla emphasized that BiH is a beautiful country and that she believes that many business women will invest in BiH.
The Assistant Secretary of the Chamber of Commerce of UAE Mohammed Al-Nuaimi is fascinated by the natural beauty of BiH, who said that he is hoping that the two countries will cooperate more in the future period.
“Our delegation mainly consists of private subjects and representatives of the Chamber of Commerce from sectors of agriculture, construction, tourism, and the real estate sector. You have a very beautiful country and many people are wondering whether the photographs from here were processed in Photoshop, but when you come here, you can see for yourself that it is true. We have to work hard to bring more people here and do some business,” said al-Nuaimi.
At the meeting were discussed military, timber and construction industry for which the guests showed a special interest.
