Cure – the Life of Another, a new film by director Andrea Štaka, which had its world premiere at the 67th Film Festival in Locarno and was screened within the competition program of the 20st Sarajevo Film Festival won the prize for the best actress at the 9th Batumi International Art – House Film Festival (BIAFF) in Georgia, held from September 14th to September 21st this year.
The actress who won the prize is Sylvie Marinković.
Batumi International Art House Film Festival was founded in 2006 with a goal to empower the cultural exchange, understanding and cooperation through screenings of new Art House and non- commercial films from Georgia and abroad.
Cure – the Life of Another was made in co-production OKOfilm Production (Switzerland), Živa produkcija (Croatia) and Deblokada (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and tells a story of a fatal game by two teenagers.
Besides the actress Sylvie Marinković, some of the roles in the film were played by Lucia Radulović, Mirjana Karanović, Marija Škaričić, Leon Lučev and Franjo Dijak as well.
Let us remind that the film “Gospođica” (“Miss”) by Andrea Štaka won the Golden Leopard at the Film Festival in Locarno and the Heart of Sarajevo at the SFF in 2006.
ST
