The following report, issued by the state agency, presents data on internal migration in Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2016. It includes whole population, by sex and age structure, that preregistered their place of residence including migration between both entities and Brcko District .
At level of Bosnia and Herzegovina population number of immigration/emigration is 32.775. Thereof, number of immigrants to Federation of B&H is 19.652, indicating a decrease of 3,5 % in comparison to the same period last year; in Republika Srpska is 12.442, indicating an increase of 5,3 %, in comparison to the same period last year; in Brcko District is 681, indicating an increase of 5,6 % in comparison to the same period last year.
For the same period, number of emigrants from Federation of B&H is 20.537 and it indicates a decrease of 0,5 % in comparison to the same period last year, Republika Srpska is 11.687 and it indicates an increase of 0,3 % in comparison to the same period last year and Brcko District is 556 and it indicates an increase of 2,8 % in comparison to the same period last year.
Total net migration in Republika Srpska is 755 , in Federation of B&H -885, and in Brcko District is 130. Majority migrants in Bosnia and Herzegovina were persons between 20-39 years of age (15.379 people) which represent 46,9 % of total migration.
In regard to gender structure, share of female population in total migration is 18.987 or 57,9% and male 13.788 or 42,1%.
