Jahorina Olympic Center announced that all conditions for skiing at thins mountain are met.
Everyone who eagerly expects to enjoy skiing will have the opportunity tonight from 7 pm to 8 pm completely free of charge, announced the Jahorina Olympic Center.
Starting as of December 5, the Poljica lift will also be in operation and daily skiing will be possible on the Poljice trail from 9am to 4pm, with special discounted ticket prices of 50 percent, Nezavisne Novine reports.
On December 3rd, member of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s (BiH’s) Presidency Milorad Dodik officially opened the newly constructed Javor-Partizan gondola, 1,100 meters long, with 36 cabins, with a capacity of 2,700 skiers per hour, on Jahorina Mountain. Dodik congratulated the Jahorina Olympic Center on another major infrastructure endeavor that takes the Olympian beauty to the top of European and world ski destinations even faster.
He confirmed that the institutions of the Republika Srpska will continue to strongly support the development of the Jahorina Olympic Center.
The investment is worth eight million euros and gondolas will connect part of the Praca ski area with part of the Poljice ski area, and the route will also work when other installations are not able to do so due to weather conditions. In addition to the gondola, three ski slopes were built, arranged according to FIS standards, five kilometers long, as well as a new lift in Poljice, with a capacity of 1,200 skiers per hour, ekapija news portal reports.
