The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Croatia pulled from the market a Katy white chocolate with coconut of 100g of a Polish producer, since the presence of bacteria Salmonella spp was found.
A chocolate with a bar code of 4335896585017, LOT: L2118 with a date of April 2018, which was imported by Kaufland Croatia. In the press release, the Croatian Agency for Food said that a self-control by the subject established the potential for danger for the consumers and that the product wasn’t in accordance with EC Decision 178/2002 about general principles and conditions of the laws on food.
The Agency for the Safety of Food of BiH was made aware of this case and decided to request the inspection services of the two entities and Brcko District to check the products, out of precaution.
“The Agency for the Security of Food of BiH at this time, by way of the Rapid Alert Service for Food and Animal Food (EU RASFF), wasn’t alerted that the aforementioned products was delivered to the BiH market. After we received return information, we’ll inform the consumers about the results of the undertaken measures,” they told us from the Agency.
