Residents of several Sarajevo settlements did not have problems with water reductions due to the increase of water accumulation on certain springs, as confirmed by the Water and Sewerage (ViK) of Canton Sarajevo.
Allegedly, the water supply was not disrupted from 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM, which was usually happening in the previous months, in the Municipality of Ilidza and in the settlements of Breka, Sedrenik, Stup, and certain parts of Vratnik and Kovaci.
“We have a better water flow from the Moscanica spring, and the reason for this is the rainy period, and the situation is getting better. There will certainly be no night-time reductions if we do not have dry days without rainfall. Rainfall and accumulation are dictating everything,” as said from the Water and Sewerage (ViK).
Since the problem of night-time reductions has been solved in some settlements, from the Water and Sewerage (ViK) noted that the number of citizens’ complaints has been significantly reduced as well.
Residents of other Sarajevo settlements such as Cengic Vila, Marijin Dvor, Otoka, Malta and Kosevsko Brdo are still struggling with night-time water reductions, and it remains unknown when the normalization of water supply might take place in these parts of the capital city of BiH.
