On Tuesday, August 8, seven of nine users of the Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) program scholarships are going to the United States for a one-year education program.
These students are coming from several parts of BiH and they will live with American families during their stay in the United States and they will attend American high schools. Participants of this year’s program are from Mostar, Banja Luka, Sarajevo, Tuzla and Bosanski Petrovac.
Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study was established by the US Congress in October 2002 in response to the events that took place on September 11, 2001.
The program is funded by the US State Department and it is represented, sponsored and implemented by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs in cooperation with our organization American Councils for International Education.
YES program is intended for students of the first and second grades of all secondary schools in BiH. The testing dates for the YES project in the next school year are following: Sarajevo on September 16; Mostar on September 19; Tuzla on September 21, Banja Luka on September 22, 2017.
