Representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) in football, Miralem Pjanic is the first BiH player after 16 years to play in the UEFA Champions League finals.
Pjanic, 27, Juventus’ player, entered the history of BiH football after the Italian Serie A leader Juventus on Tuesday booked their appearance in UEFA Champions League final.
Juventus’ midfielder is the first BiH representative for the past 16 years to play in the finals of the elite football European competition.
His predecessors were Hasan Salihamidzic, Elvir Baljic and Refik Sabanadzovic, making Pjanic fourth BiH player in the finals of the Champions League.
The transfer of Miralem Pjanic from Roma to Juventus was signed on a five years period. Nobody has made more Serie A assists than Pjanic in the last three years, making him an immense midfield talent.
Juventus will meet the winner between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid in the final in Cardiff, Wales on June 3.
