Chairman of the Presidency of BiH Mladen Ivanic, together with the delegation of BiH pays an official visit to Israel, where he met with Reuven Rivlin, President of Israel. On the meetings, they discussed the political situation in the Israel and BiH, about the situation in the Balkans and in the Middle East. Moreover, it was agreed that the relations are excellent, “with room for further improvement that would be beneficial for both countries.”
This visit is the first official visit of Chairman of the Presidency of BiH to Israel, and Chairman Ivanic’s rated it as one of the most important ones in this term, is announced from the press office of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“Chairman Ivanic and President Rivlin concluded that there is a lot of similarities between BiH and Israel, due to a number of historical peculiarities and ways of conflicts resolving. The interlocutors pointed out that there is a special challenge for both countries to preserve stability in multi-ethnic communities, but that the BiH and Israel showed that it is possible,”, is announced in the statement.
During his visit to Israel, the BiH delegation will also meet with the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President of the Israeli Parliament Knesset Yulij Edelstein and Defence Minister Avigdor Lieberman.
Moreover, during the official program, it is planned for the BiH delegation to meet with the representatives of the World Jewish Congress, to visit the Memorial Centre “Yad Vashem” and to lay wreath at the Hall of Remembrance.
The official delegation of BiH includes the Foreign Minister Igor Crnadak and representative of the Bosniak member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Elvir Čamdžić.
