At the 27th International Competition of waters in Berkeley Springs, which was held on the 25th of February, the gold medal in the competition of bottled mineral water again went to Tesanj kiseljak (Tesanjski kiseljak).
Local community Montpelier in Ohio won the award in the category “Best tap water”. Emporia Kansas won the second and Hamilton the third place in this category.
The award for the best-bottled water went to natural water Zaros from the Greek island of Crete and AlphaPure water from source Ocala in Florida.
Tesanj Diamond (Tesanjski Dijamant), which won the first place in the category of bottled mineral water last year, shared the first place with “Touch Sparkling” mineral water from Marchand in Canada this year.
Svalbaroi Polar Iceberg water from Norway won the award for the best packaging.
On the competition participated a total of 18 countries, seven Canadian provinces, and five foreign countries. Costa Rica and Fiji were new participants at this year’s competition. Decisions were made by eleven judges on the basis of taste, aroma, and “mouth feel”.
