Prime Minister of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić said that he will not attend the marking of January 9 in Banja Luka because he is going to visit India. Vučić said that each member of the government will decide whether or not to go to Banja Luka.
“Serbia must protect the integrity of BiH just as much as it loves and protects the integrity of Republika Srpska. I know that one part of Serbs does not like this, but this is in the interest of Serbs and all the others. Peace and stability are crucial. I want the Republika Srpska to have a good economy and I want that Sarajevo and Banja Luka have good relations, that our people in the RS are always strong enough to protect what they built themselves and what they fought for. They will have support from Serbia, but in addition to that and our stance towards the Dayton Agreement, we are obliged to preserve Bosnia and Herzegovina as a whole,” said Vučić.
Answering the question what would he recommend the President of Serbia Tomislav Nikolić, Vučić said that he does not have to recommend anything because Nikolić has always been responsible and serious. Vučić also said that Serbia must deal with future and business, instead of with the past.
“Only when we do that we can tell the others in the region who are no better, nicer, and more careful. We can always take kicks from their side, but what we must not permit ourselves is to participate in games that will threaten stability,” said Vučić.
