While the Sarajevo valley is suffocating in smog, a true winter idyll can be found on the surrounding mountains.
It is snowing on Bjelašnica, Igman and Jahorina, and show is expected to continue falling in the next couple of days.
Temperature on Bjelašnica is 0 degrees, while Jahorina and Igman measure -1 degrees Celsius.
The enterprise ZOI ’84 announced that the BX lift will be operating on Babin do Bjelašnica, while the three-seated cable car will be put into operation for panoramic sightseeing.
The trail Olympic Giant Slalom, known also as Skočine, on Jahorina is open for skiing today. Working hours of the vertical transportation are from 9 am to 4 pm, and the price of the daily ski pass for the six-seater Skočine is 25 BAM for adults and 20 BAM for children.
Trails on Malo and Veliko polje on Igman are under preparation, and around 60 percent of capacities are ready. One trail is ready, while the other is being prepared with an artificial snow making machine.
