Improvement of air quality has been recorded in Sarajevo due to the general weather conditions, wind and rain that have been announced, as confirmed by associate from the Department of Environment of the Hydrometereologic Institute of FBiH, Enis Krecinic.
He stated that this morning at the measuring station Bjelave at 8 am was recorded value of 57 micrograms of dust particles which, he noted, is below the tolerance value.
“Yesterday we had that exceeding on the daily average on the measuring station Bjelave that was 96 micrograms, which is almost 100 % more than allowed value,” said Krecinic.
Other measuring station in Sarajevo are not currently working since the Department of Public Health, failed to realize tenders for purchasing equipment on time.
“We have increase of sulfur and dust in Zenica, while the current situation on the other measuring stations that we manage is satisfactory,” said Krecinic.
